Stocktons first play date....and he loved it!

Stockton's long distance girlfriend was in town and they finally got to have a play date. At first he was unsure about something just as small and just as loud as he was but soon got over it. But every time he would get a little too over confident, she put him back in his place. She is much more stable with her pushing, hitting, biting...you name it, she's got three months and five pounds on him! He learned very quick not to mess with her. If you asked me, I think he liked it. :) He misses Taylor and cant wait to see her again.

Kayvons first Fathers Day

So now it was Kayvon's first fathers day and I wanted to go big. So while he was away "fishing" with the guys. I called over Big Rog and his dad to help put up a hoop. Ok, so why don't men read directions? I mean, they looked like a bunch of monkeys with tools in their hands. But in the end, two days later, one burned head, and four pieces of 2x4's that I swear didn't come in the box when it was delivered. But at last......a basketball hoop!! And he LOVES it! DANG......I'm a great wife! :)

And then there was two......

Teeth that is! He got the first one a few days ago and then this morning, as I was lower his crib (that's a whole other story) he smiled at me and there it was. The second little tooth pokin through! I tried taking a picture of it but a few things got in my way. One of them being that when ever I would try to open his mouth it only made him clamp down harder and the other thing is, you really cant see them. They are almost clear looking, but you can sure feel them! When they come in a bit more I will for sure take a picture!

Just a "Broke Back" Weekend

So this morning Kayvon left to St. George....without us. His good friend Danny is getting married, so all the guys are going camping. Kind of a "Broke Back" bachelor party if you will. Just kidding, although I did tell him he better come home with fish! He just laughed and walked out the door. I have left Kayvon home a few times while taking Stockton with me. Like California for my grandfather's funeral and then Arizona for my nieces 1 year birthday party. But it is much different when you are the one left home. Its crazy how I see him everyday and yet miss him as if he has been gone for weeks. I feel lonely, and a part of me wants to go poke Stockton awake so I can have some company. But I wont, instead Ill just turn off the computer, go upstairs and crawl into bed....our big, empty cold bed....sniff sniff. I cant wait for Sunday so we can see him again.

HE GOT IT!!! HE'S CRAWLING!!!!

Well for the last month or two Stockton has been sliding on his tummy, then the army crawl and now today he has figured it out!!! He has figured out that he gets much further on his hands and knees then the other ways.......now, he hasn't stopped!!! Hold on to our hats!! I know that one day Ill look back and miss the days we could leave him on the sofa and come back and he would still be in the same place. But right now...........I CANT STOP SMILING!!!!!!!! It is days like this that make going to school every night more then worth it!! (Sorry video is not all that great, i took it with my phone first. It was closer then the camera! Plus, thats what he started crawling to.)

The one and only picture!!!!

Viva SLC was this last weekend and it was a blast. Don't ask me how this is the one and only picture I took. (I know I am pissed about it!!!) Here it is, Stockton with a close family friend Dave Madsen. Stockton was the talk of the show! Everyone loved him as his daddy walked around showing him off with nothing less than the "I'm the proudest father in the world" smile on his face!!!

I love hanging out with my son!!

I think this is the first sign to look for.......

We now put Stockton to sleep for his naps while he is still awake and he puts himself to sleep. As I was downstairs checking my email, I turned on the camera in his room above his crib and this is what I see on the monitor. I had to run upstairs to take a picture....and to fix the problem of course. I think this is what they mean when "you'll know when its time to remove the bumpers." I GET IT!!!! I just laughed and snapped away even though I know he should be asleep and Ill pay for this interrupted nap time later. But the pictures and the experience were well worth it!

They are finally home!!!

They are finally home!! They haven't seen me for 9 weeks!!! I was a baby when they left to tour the world and now I am almost a full grown man!! I cant wait to spend time with them every Friday so mommy can go to school an extra day, so she can graduate early.

My best friend and Stockton's future wife!!

This is my best friend Kari and her 9 month old daughter Taylor. They moved to VA. because her husband is going to school. I have not seen her in what feels like forever. Ever since high school we said that we would get pregnant at the same time and have two girls and they would be best friends like us.......crazy we both got pregnant the same year, (both unplanned) but she had the girl and I had the boy! That's ok cause now we have spent many a phone conversations planning their weddings! LOL

VIVA SLC THIS SAT!!!

Go get your tickets now!!! Its a great concert that Kayvon and the Blaze team put together. It was so big last year that it was said to have the most people in the Gallivan Center since the Olympics!!! Check it out again, or if you missed it last year check it out for the first time!! It is a great day! SEE YA ALL THERE!!!

Just had to post this!!

So, Kayvon makes all of Stockton's food from scratch. One day when Stockton was about three months old I brought home this AWESOME book for Kayvon. Its all baby food, from 4-12 months. Its a cook book for anything and every kind of food. Now that Stockton's been eating solids (single purees) for two months we can bump him up to more mixes of food. Here are some cute pictures of Stockton helping Daddy pick out his meal plan for the next two weeks. MY BOYS ARE SO DANG CUTE!!!!!

Park with friends

Well, you know how I had said we take advantage of the good sunny days, cause we don't know how long it will last? It didn't last to say the least. So yesterday we went to the park with our friends Alisa, her two boys, Alex and Jaxon and Alona (the help) LOL hahaha.....sorry Alona I just had to throw that in there. You know I love you!!!! (just call it revenge for that five pound comment) Anyways, we all had fun. Stockton, Murphy and I stayed in the shade while Alex and Jaxon played on the slides, and rode around on their bikes. Ok, Jaxon rode around on his bike, Alex was testing how tough he was by crashing and burning! We found out that he is pretty tough. He is just setting the standard for Stockton.

Dinner at Gramps

Last night we all went across the street to Grandpas to have a BBQ and enjoy the weather, (we never know how long it will last) Davids daughter is in town for the summer and E-dog is leaving this wed for a tour group of Europe. So we all got together for a fun night. We always have such a great time together. We took Stockton's bouncer over and of course he was the center of attention. Until it was time to take him home and put him to bed. So after we left they had to find something else to entertain them, so they all went inside to play a little Rock Band......even grandma jams out with us!!! She kicks butt at the base!

Walk to the park

We live next to this park, and we have never been because of the crappy weather!! But the sun was out and we loaded Stockton up in the stroller and headed out the door!! All and all, I think he loved it......as long as he was in the shade. The pansy has been in a dark cave of a house his whole life that the sun is still new to him. He loves the shadows on the ground!! That's why in all his pictures he is looking at the ground. We couldn't get him to look up for the life of us!!

My first Mothers Day!!

I know it was forever ago, but I just got the pictures from my mother in laws camera! This why taking your own pictures is key! Mothers day was a great day, it was my first and I wouldn't change it for anything. The sun was out, I think for the first time in months. We all got up and met Kayvon's side of the family for a little brunch at Market Street Grill. Then went home and just spent the day together as a family, just the three of us. It was an AMAZING first mothers day!!!
