He loves stairs

Stockton loves playing in our room. We have these doggy stairs next to our bed for our fat dog Murphy to get up and down with. And Stockton loves to climb them, jump off of them, move them, really anything he can think of to do with them he will. When ever he is quiet we always know he is in our room waiting for us to come find and chase him. And when we do start to chase him he runs around our bed, climbs the stairs and hops on pillows. He thinks it's "safe" area. You know, like in tag when you were little. "you cant touch the sand but the the slide is "safe"? He is so cute!! He is always climbing, falling and jumping off of things. And yes with all the bruises, scratches, cuts and blisters to prove it. I started looking for gymnastics classes for him today. I think I found one and I cant wait to get him started.

Happy Bunny Day!

Well it was a pretty fun day if I say so myself. Before Kayvon and I went to bed last night we let the Easter Bunny in to leave all the eggs and toys he brought for Stockton. He started with laying them right outside his bedroom door so when he woke up in the morning he would see them right away. When Stockton woke up he found a basket in his room to fill up with all the fun eggs he could find. We just want to say thank you to Mr Bunny for listening to us when we told him NO candy. Instead he got eggs full of gold fish and grahamy bears. :) I know what you are thinking, but I could probably count how many times Stockton has had any kind of cookie or candy on only both my hands. Say what you want about that but what Stockton doesn't know, he cant miss. :) Anyways after his nap we went to lunch and then took the dogs to the dog park. All and all it was a pretty great day. This is such a fun age with Stockton because he is really starting to "get" things now.

It's about time right?!

OK, so you don't have to tell me, I already know what you are thinking. "Is the Motiee family ever going to put up new pictures?"

Well it's been kind of crazy busy around these parts and I am sure every other parent who has a blog can say the same thing and yet they still manage to post. But here's the thing, just hear me out. I don't know if you have a child like mine. If he is awake then I am NOT on the computer. He has to be on the computer playing is game if he knows that I am in the office. So the only window of opportunity I get to be on the computer is about two hours long. And in that two hours I get to choose between cleaning my house, myself or blogging. It saddens me to tall you that blogging is the last on that list and whats even more sad is myself usually looses the race too.

So lets get to "blogging" shall we......or at least to some more pictures.

Our Honeymoon at last!

So Kayvon and I finally got to go on our honeymoon. We had been talking about this trip since Stockton still looked somewhat like a sea monkey in my belly. It was AMAZING!! We went to Kauai for a week and stayed at the Marriott Beach Club Resort. My dad (the greatest dad EVER) got us a beach front one bedroom master suite. The view as you can see from the pictures was nothing less then breath taking. Waking up and falling asleep to the sound of waves crashing.......ugggggg there are no words.

(weeping........we wanna go back.......sniff sniff)
We did everything we wanted to do while we were there, which was absolutely NOTHING!! Well we did a few things, like drink, eat, lay by the pool and beach, drink some more. :) And somewhere in our hectic busy schedule we went snorkeling, (Kayvon's first time, and loved it!) sight seeing, golfing and an island helicopter tour. (The best money spent)
I have to say as much as we loved it and didn't want to come home. We both missed our little guy. Grandma Holt took care of him for the week and broke him of the bottle. (for that we owe her our life!) We both agreed that next time we go somewhere like this, we will go three days early and then have someone hand deliver Stockton to us.

Hoop Dreams

When he walked onto the hardwood, you could see a visible change in his demeanor. He had never been there before but it was strangely familiar. He looked up to me and said " Vlah Blue Blah Blah" (translation:
"Dad, I'm Home")

Kathryn thought that the other players in the gym were staring because he looked so cute in his baby blue outfit. I saw the fear in their eyes. They knew they were witnessing greatness in its rawest form.

He is already a predator on defense. He is also fast and nimble. His natural athletic ability was on full display. It was truly a site to behold!

I HAVE NO WORDS!!!!

I know its been a while.......

Well, the New Year as you can see started out with bang.....all over daddy! :) That was the last time I wrote in our blog, mainly because I think that was the last time I felt like I had enough tome to sit and take a breather. But here I am now....so stop complaining! This year I gave Stockton his first haircut EVER!! He hated it of course and you can tell by the look he is giving daddy as his picture is being taken. He is so darn CUTE!! Nothing much has change for us. I am done with school and take my last test next week. Then off to find a job.....FINALLY!! I am really excited to tell you the truth. I love being home with Stockton all day don't get me wrong. But it will be great to have some adult interaction again. And I think it will be good for Stockton to go play around other children everyday. We'll see, I say this now but really I know I am going to go crazy with missing him. I miss him after I put him down for the night!

Happy 2009....and what a great way to end 2008

Well for New years it was pretty quiet. That is once Stockton's vomiting stopped. We have no idea where it came from but one second he was happy, playing and running around. And the next minute, I'm cleaning up what I can only describe as "grown man's" puke, smell and all. It went all over our sofa, all over the lap of the boy we were watching for the night and all over the carpet. Then Kayvon picked him up to get him, his hair and the inside of his nose all cleaned up, when he made it half way to the bathroom and it happened again. Only this time all over "just showered" daddy and the entryway floor. I know you don't want to hear about it let alone see it, but it was to funny not to snap a picture of what real, true parenthood is all about. This picture is PRICELESS!! Then after that second episode he was happy, until it started up again two more times. Then after that he was so warn out he went straight to bed. Woke up happy and feeling great this morning. So what ever it was his tummy didn't like, it got rid of it. :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Ok! Can I just say how much fun Christmas was this year? It was everything that I had imagined Christmas would be when I had a family of my own. Call me crazy but other little girls had their whole wedding planned out by the time they are 12 years old. Me, I had "Our Family Christmas Tradition" all planned out. Stockton made his first of many Santa plate. Then Kayvon picked a cookie from his childhood and I picked one from mine and we made them to put out for Santa. Then on Christmas Day Kayvon's family came over and we had dinner, played games and watched as Stockton helped Grandma Susan bake. He loved licking the left overs. Stockton also LOVED the tree and did so well with leaving it alone. That is until he realized there was fun things under it! :) Every time someone would walk through the front door he would run up to them, start talking their ear off and run them over to the tree to show it off. I thought he was going to cry when he watched me take it down. He still gets up every morning looking for it. Stockton got plenty of things this year.....some he needed.....most he didn't. But I don't really think grandparents know what it means when you say, "don't go over board." Kayvon got his oldie but goody......socks (and other stuff too) Kayvon loves me so much that he got me a new camera! One that I really wanted. We have had the same camera for five years now. So you know how many years that is in technology years? Speaking of dogs. Kody got a stuffed toy which is already destroyed and in the trash. Murphy got treats....FATTY! So now its just the after math of the holidays and putting everything away. My house looks like a tornado ripped through it. Its just a bad cycle, because as you are taking care of and cleaning up Christmas, your normal everyday tasks get skipped....then BAM....twelve loads of laundry.....again!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Merry Christmas Eve!

Tay & Stockton

My best friend Kari and her daughter Taylor came into town and stopped by for a play date. They had so much fun and Taylor taught Stockton how to ride the pony. I'm sure if he wasn't so tired he would have enjoyed it more. But staying up late is well worth it when you haven't seen good friends for so long. He cant wait to see her again. :) I posted some pics from their last play date. you can see how long ago it was. KARI JUST MOVE BACK!!!!! sniff sniff sniff......

NEWPORT 2008

This is probably one of my favorite pictures I have ever taken of my family. Daddy sure loves his little boy, and Stockton loves his daddy more then anything. It was a great vacation and I cant wait to go back.
